Why do some people advocate for male genital mutilation aka circumcision?

USA: Land of choice: Because circumcision is required by numerous religions many believe circumcision improves quality of life. Many believe it is more hygienic. Many require circumcision for medical reasons (phimosis, paraphymosis, recurrent balanitis, etc), prevents the rare penile cancer, reduces risk of urinary infections in first year of life and the usa is a free country. Female circumcision is mutilation!
