UTI's and sex: Women can develop urinary tract infections (UTI) after sex due to their having a short urethra allowing bacteria to enter their bladders and initiate a UTI. One way to prevent this is to urinate as soon as possible after sex to flush the bacteria out of the woman's bladder. Good luck.
