Dilated bile duct: If the bile duct is significantly dilated, it is sometimes a sign that there is a partial obstruction of the bile duct. This could be due to something externally pressing on it or to a stone in the duct itself. Your ultrasound or x-ray that shows the possible dilatation needs to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist and potentially further tests need to be done. Do not ignore this. Good luck.
