A member asked:

Why did i miscarry and what can i do to prevent it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unpreventable: 25% of pregnancies miscarry and most are due to a genetic defect. The defect was created at the moment of conception, so there is no prevention. Your risk of miscarriage does not increase until you have had 3 in a row. Some birth defects can be prevented by ingestion of a prenatal vitamin with at least 1 mg of Folic Acid daily, best started before conception.
