Need more details.: Age atypical for acute coronary syndrome BUT must have more information about family history and risk factors. Also need to consider the accompanying back pain as well. Rare but life threatening conditions need to be ruled out include an aneurysm rupture/dissection. Also need to consider unusual conditions such as spontaneous pneumothorax. I would like information about recent exertion.

Please call 911.: Left chest and back pain could be due to a serious underlying cardiovascular or pulmonary condition. If this is acute, see urgent care or, if no one can take you, call 911 immediately for emergency services. If not acute, see your doctor anyways as soon as you can for diagnosis, preferably today. Take care.
