Could you give me the official answer of the science community on whether trimming eyelashes makes them grow?

Does not help!: Hair fibers are 'dead' tissue (like fingernails) produced by hair follicles under the skin. Just like hair on the scalp does NOT grow faster when trimmed, neither do eyelashes. Meds like latisse/bimatoprost can improve eyelash follicle function: producing thicker, darker, longer lashes over time--enhancing their look in about four months. Lash trimming is only needed after eyelash transplantation.
