CBT: It is primarily a talk therapy where one sits with a therapist. It is structured around analyzing thoughts, feelings and action sequences in one's life and works to intervene in those sequences by changing one's thoughts and/or behavior (C-BT). There are a number of specialized techniques that are versions of this, use of modeling, role-playing, and exposure to feared stimuli most typical.
