Multifactorial: For once, people live longer and cancer is usually seen more as we age. More recently, exposures to industrial toxins of all sorts. Even more recently, the embracing of a hedonistic, "i can do anything and whatever happens is not my fault" approach that includes smoking, drinking in excess, physical inactivity and avoidance of common sense. That's my story and i'm stickin' to it...
