Dka: Dka is more common in patients with type 1 diabetes. It occurs when there is a complete lack of Insulin causing your body to go through a different pathway to create "energy" leading to build up of acids which are toxic to the enzymes in the body. Stress, not taking insulin, infections are common things that bring on dka. It's a dangerous condition and could be fatal if not treated appropriately.
