I have a rt-sided paraduodenal hernia and a navy hospital will repair it. because it's so rare should they be performing the surgery?

Sure.: The doctors were trained in fine hospitals or they would not be in a military hospital. Relax, this is relatively easy surgery unless a strange issue arises. Navy surgeons are almost as good as air force surgeons. You don't have to worry. If you are concerned get a second opinion.
