Prilosec : Medicine like advil (ibuprofen) are generally safe if used in moderation. Too much on a long term basis can cause ulcers or gastritis. Sometimes you feel it but not always. Antacids like Tums can relive the symptoms but not prevent it. So the best time to take them is when it bothers you. Prilosec otc works longer and may prevent ulcers. Take 20 min. Before breakfast. Take advil (ibuprofen) with meals. >2wk c doctor.
