Training for what?: Ask your physician who has treated you as he knows your fracture pattern and knows how 'stiff' your ankle is.Rom and strengthening exersizes should begin immediately upon removal of cast. Balance exersises fairly soon as well.At your age if the fracture is healed 'training'( for a 5k for example) may begin as soon as 3 weeks after cast/ boot removal. See your ors for specifics. Best of luck!

Depends on site/bone: There is no fixed time, as you may need physical therapy following the removal of cast. And it is also dependant on the site/bone involved and type of fracture you should alwas consult your orthopedic doctor on the follow up visits when you can return to training.Never do it without clearance from your doctor.
