Possible hives: I assume you mean ceterizine and atarax (hydroxyzine). You should see your physician for this or if refered an allergist. Viral infections, autoimmune conditions, antibiotics, if very short lived foods, sometimes environmental exposures can cause brief hives. Ceterizine is a break down product of Atarax (hydroxyzine) but causes less drowsiness than atarax (hydroxyzine).
