Coccydynia: Coccydynia is a medical term meaning pain in the coccyx or tailbone area, usually caused by by an injury, but it may occur seemingly spontaneously. There are many causes of tailbone pain that can mimic coccydynia, including sciatica, infection (including shingles), pilonidal cysts, sacroiliitis, and fractured bone (broken tailbone or tailbone fracture). Probably not due to birth from a year ago.
