Possibly allergies: Many people have an allergy to dust mites. When you lay down on your pillow at first, it releases the dust from inside your pillow which can cause the symptoms you are experiencing. This is just a guess. Your doctor knows you better and can diagnose this. Good luck.

Unusual: Try irrigating your nose with Normal Saline solution that is over the counter prior to bed to clear any mucous plugs that may be there. It does not sound serious since it goes away by itself. It might just be temporary swelling of your terminates from position change, that also is not harmful and does not need treatment.

?nasal congestion: If you're having nasal congestion as soon as you go to bed, you may be allergic to articles and dust mites in your bedroom. Remove all dust collecting articles, use allergen free covers for your bed and take an antihistamine before going to bed. If this doesn't help, see an allergist.
