Get Thyroid Blood te: She should discuss with her obstetrician and get blood test done for thyroid functions, like tsh, t4, t3 (liothyronine) levels and if these are normal increses in size of the gland will not cause any problem with pregnancy or the unborn baby.

Possibly: Women can develop thyroid disorders during pregnancy, and these need to evaluated by her ob. Please call her OB and ask about this. Good luck.
