Hi i bashed my elbow quite hard on the bus a couple of hours ago and now it's hurting i've got pins and needles in my hand, should i go to the doctors?

Other symptoms?: This sounds like a transient nerve issue from the trauma that should subside without treatment.If you can do everything with your fingers/hand/arm that you did prior to the injury ; your only issue is the tingling, it can probably wait a few days to self recover.If there is any loss of function, i would have it evaluated.

Ulnar nerve: You probably irritated your ulnar nerve ("funny bone"). Unless the pain is too severe or there is weakness in your hand, i would probably give it a few days to see if it gets better.

Hold off...: You probably just hit your "funny bone" or the ulnar nerve as it passes through the elbow. The symptoms will probably resolve on their own. If they persist more than a day or two you should see your doctor.
