Yellow Fumewort: From my research it is a yellow flower found in minnesota, iowa, michigan and even ny and florida. It contains alkaloids. In the olden days docs would use it as an astringent root to stop bleeding, pain, diarrhea and dysentery. Native am indians used to inhale it to clear the head. Today we do not advise patients to use this herb. Even small doses may be toxic. Sx include trembling and seizures!
