Really No: No, we dont form effective immune responses to STDs to help prevent further infections down the road. Only hepatitis b has an effective vaccine to prevent infection through protective immunity. Every other std has ineffective mechanisms in producing effective immune reponse and subsequent immunity.

Yes: We do develop antibodies directed towards the particular std but usually they are not able to stave off a mucosal tissue infection in the genital region.

A few, not most: If you get the Gardasil 9 (HPV) before you are infected you can develop resistance/immunity to the strains in the vaccine. Hepatitis B is also transmitted sexually & you could be immunized against that. For the rest of the common & less common STD's there is no shot & for several you don't develop immunity after the disease, so you can have it often.
