Many things: Hospital based or outpatient detoxification options are available, depending on insurance and ability to pay. Short or long-term maintenance programs with safer/better medications like Methadone or Buprenorphine (suboxone) may help. Abstinence-based programs like narcotics anonymous and others, use of a narcotic blocker like naltrexone, varieties of counseling, family therapy etc etc etc.See md.
