Citalopram can : cause paresthesias, abnormal sensations of numbness, tingling, or burning. It can cause diminished concentration & even amnesia, but cognitive impairment, has not been reported as an adverse event or side-effect. See your psychiatrist for a safe medication change. See your primary physician for physical & neurological exams & referral to neurologist & neuropsychologist if symptoms persist.
