Noise: The finding of a heart murmur refers to the ability to hear blood flow. Usually this is accomplished with a stethoscope. There are many possible causes for the finding of a heart murmur, including simple normal blood flow that is audible. Some murmurs are definitely abnormal. More information is necessary and if the murmur is abnormal, there should be a specific diagnosis.
