Can you tell me about having steroid injections for a frozen shoulder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sure: Despite literature stating lack of efficacy, in my practice, glenohumeral steroid injections or steroid placed intraarticularly are very effective for treating true capsulitis (frozen shoulder). I usually space them 6 weeks apart with the average patent needing 2-3. If no response after 2 you may fall into the 10-20% that require surgical release.
