Talk to doctor: I dont know why your doctor took you off birth control, but there are many kinds out there and one of them should be safe for you. Condoms may hurt for a couple reasons. Not enough lubrication, try a water based lubricant like ky. Or you could have a latex sensitivity, there are other non-latex condoms you could try.
