Can you tell me about having a renal angiogram?

Outpatient procedure: Usually, a needle stick in the groin under local anesthesia and some sedation. You may be groggy and may feel a transient warm sensation as the dye in injected, which will completely go away. Risks are low.

Depends: On which type. Catheter / conventional renal arterogram versus cta or mra. Look up these tests at radiologyinfo.Org and sirweb.Org for detailed info. Best to start with renal vascular doppler.
