See below...: Many types of leukemia including all are treatable and even curable but the cure rate depends upon not only the type of leukemia but other factors, too. Some of the adverse prognostic indicators include: age older than 60 years, the presence of the philadelphia chromosome, mll gene rearrangement, WBC over 100, 000/microliter, and failure to achieve remission after 4 weeks.
