See HA specialist: Management of Chronic Daily Headache: The first steps in the management of CDH are to eliminate the presence of any secondary headache disorder and to diagnose the specific category of CDH involved. It is also important to identify any comorbid medical and psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, and panic disorder or sleep disturbance. See a HA or OFP specialist for evealuation.

Many possibilities: I agree with Dr. Grin's answer. Another area of great importance to chronic headaches is TMJ dysfunction. You don't have to have symptoms such as popping or clicking for a problem to exist. The problem is when the muscles are having to adapt to a bite imbalance, thus pulling the TMJ out of place. The constant constriction of the muscles causes headaches. Bruxism; clenching or grinding contributes.
