Ovulation: It dose not "look" like anything. It is the process in which a female of child bearing age releases an egg, usually mid cycle (2 weeks before your period starts). If you miss a period are are not pregnant, you may have had an anovulatory cycle, and certainly could ovulate again when next due. If you're not pregnant, and you miss your period again, see gyn for eval. Best wishes.

What do you mean: What does ovulation look like it looks like an egg being expelled from an ovary and traveling down the fallopian tube to the uterus. Yes you can ovulate after a missed period....If you are not pregnant... Ovulation can cause pain or can be just normal body function. Usually occurs 7-14 days after start of last period. But can occur anytime in an irregular cycle.

See below: Ovulation is not a visible process. You can ovulate after a missed period. Anovulatory cycles are one cause of missed period and ovulation can resume after the missed ovulation.

Watery mucous: If you are not on contraceptive hormones, you may notice stringy, watery mucous in your underwear. You may also notice a little discomfort in your pelvis. If you look with an us , sometimes you can see the follicle open.

Unsure: If you missed your period and you are not pregnant, then it would be unsure when you last ovulated. The period will start 14 days after ovulation. If your periods are irregular, your ovulation is irregular as well - that means ovulation could occur almost any time - starting about 7 days after your last period started.

Ovulation: Ovulation is usually asymptomatic. The woman won't feel one. Some, though, may have a brief episode of spotting called mittleschmertz but that's rare. Can you ovulate after a missed period - you can but no telling when and you will need to get rid of the uterine lining (endometrium) that had built up when you didn't ovulate.
