YES: Most home pregnancy tests can accurately detect pregnancy one week after a missed period. Also, testing your urine first thing in the morning may boost the accuracy.

Yes: If taken too soon after ovulation pg tests can be inaccurate. Some can be accurate a couple of days after a missed period, but all are more reliable a week after. Still none may be right, & if negative & over a week late, see your doc , who can do a blood test for pregnancy. Always assume you might be pg, til certain, & avoid medicines, drugs,alcohol, tobacco. Eat right & take prenatal vitamin
