Retrolisthesis is: Relatively uncommon and has been associated with, but not definitively caused by vertebral degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, and facet arthritis. It was felt to be an incidental, asymptomatic finding historically and not necessarily caused by anything in particular, but that theory is evolving. At present would say no to your question.
