Are nocturnal seizures hereditary? is it possible that my daughters "night terrors" are actually nocturnal seizures like the ones im having?

Unlikely : Night terrors and seizures are separate entities and readily separated by their pattern. I have no difficulty excluding one or the other after a proper evaluation. If your doc is unsure of the diagnosis, seek a second opinion and or relevant testing.
