Estrogen: It sounds like you had a hysterectomy but ovaries were left intact. Ovaries are the source of estrogen which helps to keep the elasticity in the vagina and prevent painful intercourse. Having said that, as we age estrogen levels go down and that could be the cause of pain. You may want to see a doctor about a prescription? Also, with history of yeast infxn, want to make sure it isn't yeast.

Pelvic structures.: Your pain could be due to your ovaries or other structures that are still present in your pelvis. You could be having pain from your bladder as well.
