SAM-e: In some studies, sam-e showed benefit in depression. Unfortunately most of those available have small numbers or last less than 6 weeks. One with 250+ people showed sam-e to equal Imipramine in effectiveness but lasted only 4 weeks: http://tinyurl.com/nx94vre exercise ;/or st. John's wort may be more effective, and are less expensive than sam-e ($80/month). http://tinyurl.com/kew94zb.

Have a physical exam by a Dr. to know if you have a physical illness. If you are cleared consult with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy to help you & a Psychiatrist for medication. Side effects vary and if you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion.
