Stasis dermatitis: Increased pigmentation of the skin in the lower extremities and feet may be related to poor venous circulation and what is called stasis dermatitis. It is not harmful. This can be improved by wearing compression stockings to help with venous return of blood.

Veins: Dermatology is a visual problem. That being said, you may have a vein problem; it's called venous insufficiency. You should start with your primary doctor; make sure your circulation to the feet are ok. Are you diabetic? Sincerely, Dr. Latva

Darkside...: Darker, in what sense. Color wise, a more red, blue or brown. Several conditions can account for color changes in the feet. There can be a pigmentary change or a change associated with a sluggish vascular condition. It would be best to start with your primary care specialist.

Dark feet: Skin on areas like the hands or feet tends to be darker because it is exposed to the sun more than any other part of the body. This might be the case with your feet - if you spend a lot of time in the sun barefoot or with open shoes, your feet will get tanned, and no treatment will make them lighter till the tan goes away. The only solution to this problem is to wear closed shoes.

Dark: Feet may be also circulation related. Not sure what your age is. There may be a dermatological cause as well. See your local podiatrist or dermatologist
