A member asked:

What sort of problems lead a person to get night blindness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nyctalopia: Nyctalopia is due to poor abiity to perceive light in dim circumstances and occasionally delayed adaptation to dim illumination. Most of these are due to inherited degenerations of the photoreceptors (such as retinitis pigmentosa) but global loss of photoreceptors such as advanced diabetic retinopathy can disturb perception in dim light. Have you ophthalmologist evaluate this.
