What causes blindness and neurological problem after a pseudo tumor and a shunt is placed in the head will the person ever recover from this?

Yes: Pseudo tumor cerebri is a swelling of the brain usually for unknown reasons. In severe cases pressure causes lose of vision that requires decompression of the optic nerves or shunt. Symptoms usually resolve with time with excellent recovery.
