Many: Many vitamins might be depleted in alcoholism, and could be helpful to replete: thiamine, b12, folate, (folic acid) and magnesium come to mind. These alone may not get you through alcohol withdrawal, though. You may also need specific medicines to detox from the alcohol in a cross-tolerant way. If you're having tremor, anxiety, sweating, confusion, etc, this is dangerous and you need medical attention.

Most of them: Most alcoholics are deficient in vitamins and taking them is very important for reducing withdrawal symptoms ; maintaining sobriety. I advise a strong b complex with 100 mg of b's (b1 is esp. Crucial) ; vit. C 1000 mg. Minerals like zinc ; magnesium ; l-glutamine 1000 mg 3x/day also help. Avoid sweets. None, for withdrawal: No vitamins have been shown to lessen the severity of alcohol withdrawal. However, people who drink enough to get into alcohol withdrawal (and many alcoholics who don't) are deficient especially in vitamin b1 (thiamine), and also in other b vitamins - folic acid, riboflavin and niacin, as well as vitamin c and d. Most physicians put people on vitamin replacement. Benzodiazepines r best treatment.
