A member asked:

Can taking your birth control pill 6 hours late cause your ovaries to release an egg and the cervical mucus to allow sperm from sunday through to get into the uterus and get me pregnant?

No: If you take a pill each day, regardless of timing, you would have effective protection. The likelihood of spotting and breakthrough bleeding would be increased if you do not take the pill about the same time each day, but the contraceptive efficacy would not be decreased.
