Depends: Dowagers hump is the stooped over posture from a compression fracture of the thoracic spine. It occurs most commonly from osteoporosis. The fracture causes a loss of height more pronounced in the front of the vertebrae leading to the bent over posture. If acute or subacute (i.e. Not chronic) this can be treated and potentially corrected with a procedure called kyphoplasty.
