Nor normal: You should not have vaginal bleeding. It could be due to and infection, dysplasia, granulation tissue, etc - the way to know for sure is to see your doctor.

See your gynecologist: This is definitely something that a doctor would want to check out in person. There are many parts of the genital tract that can bleed besides the uterus: your urethra, your vaginal walls, or even your cervix, if you had a partial hysterectomy. Sometimes just having low estrogen from menopause can cause thin vaginal walls and some bleeding. Only an examination will differentiate between these.
