Varies: Most deciduous or primary teeth are lost and replaced by the permanent teeth by the age of 11 or 12. However, some people may be congenitally missing a permanent tooth and could retain a primary tooth as an adult.

Exfoliatin: 20 baby teeth start falling out about age 6-7 and are all gone by 12-14, usually. Kids don't read the same Growth & Development texts that we read. Short stocky kids usually exchange teeth younger, tall thin kids later. If permanent teeth are missing, baby teeth may be over-retained. Decayed baby teeth can be lost sooner. As everyone is different, seek individualized advice from your Dentist.
