A member asked:

How long does it take abdominal muscles to heal after a maylard (sp) incision?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: A maylard incision actually transects the anterior rectus abdominus muscles when making a "bikini" type incision. If the surgeon repairs the muscles and layers of the incision properly, it could be anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks to fully heal and if not more time.
