Possible nerve: Irritation. Consider stretching and strengthening exercises if it does not aggravate the pain or cause increase in radiating pain. Take a look at: http://www.Spine-health.Com/conditions for some stretching recommendations. Nsaids, if appropriate for your health, can be of benefit. It sounds like to do have some nerve irritation from a possible pinched nerve, but will need a physical exam.

Radiating pain/nerve: It might be a pinched nerve in your low back. Often times the low back nerve called L5 can be pinched if the side of leg and top of same foot is tingling. Granted the only definitive way to know is to have a study done such as mri. If you have not see a doctor or this you should. He/she may start you out with an x-ray, physical therapy, and consider referral for MRI or specialist.

Tarsal Tunnel: Sounds like you have tarsal tunnel syndrome. Nsaids may help, orthotics, elevation etc. May want to have an emg/ncv.
