Buspar (buspirone) may help: Most antidepressants improve anxiety - a few may be more energizing and make it worse - esp. Bupropion (wellbutrin, budeprion). Buspirone is an effective drug but takes a long time to work. Psychotherapy is also effective and is markedly underused. Anxiety is not a diagnosis - there are many anxiety disorders and they have different treatments - ptsd, generalized anxiety, phobia, panic etc.
