Unlikely at 9 weeks: A negative urine and positive blood test is unlikely by 9 weeks. Some urine tests are not very sensitive, so you need more HCG in the urine than the blood test needs. Blood will always turn positive before urine, but usually only a few days to a week before. If the urine is very dilute, it will take longer to show positive. By 9 wks, there is lots of hcg; both should be +. Get ultrasound for dates.
