Stress fracture of the base of the 5th metatarsal. air cast for a total of 18 weeks. i am now having sharp pain again but neg xray? what to do next?

Let me explain: Having pain means you still having problem. I would advise you to have MRI on the foot to see if the bone healed and if you have other issues. Stress fracture on the base of that bone is not very commonly seen.
