Only within 3 to 5 d: Sperm live up to 5 days waiting for ovulation, but conception only happens on the day of ovulation. If you hane a 28 day cycle ovulation is around day 14 . 5 days before risky. One other days after ..Risky. Just don't have unprotected sex unless seeking pregnancy. Stds can lead to infertility. Why chance it?

Technically yes: The qualification is that you don't have to have sex when you are ovulating to get pregnant. If there are sperm in the neighborhood when the egg becomes available, conception can happen. You are at risk for roughly a week in each cycle.
