SSRI's: Some antidepressants like the class called ssri's(examples, Lexapro (escitalopram) , zoloft, etc) may make anxiety worse when first taken but after a week or 2 the anxiety level improves. If you are having too many problems during this time, however, notify your physician or psychiatrist.
