A member asked:

Is there a chemical compound that is the same in every ssri/snri that could make my friend allergic to all of them?

No: Chemical structures are very different. Possibly your friend may still have class-specific side effects (paradoxical phenomena?); sometimes its use in non-unipolar depression may be the cause. The prescribing dr should be in the best position to contemplate this situation, please consult. Good luck.
