It is not true.: The gold standard for saphenous vein reflux is laser closure. If there is a recurrence, then a repeat venous reflux ultrasound should be done to look for another source of reflux such as an accessory vein, a perforating vein, a duplicated saphenous vein or even a still refluxing vein that was treated. The next step would be to treat the reflux with a laser if feasible. See a vein specialist.

No: The recurrence rate should be very low. Ours is less than 3 %. If it recurs it can be retreated. Dhjoyce jvai.Com.
